- Aroma: acacia, grape juice, rasins
- French wines : Sauternes, Graves (where it is associated with Sauvignon and Semillon), Monbazillac
- Muscadelle is a white grape-variety from the Bordeaux region
- Muscadelle matures very fast and its grapes are quickly invaded by noble rot which gives it a very pronounced taste
- In Australia, where it is known as Tokay, the grape is used to make a fortified wine, sometimes known as Liqueur Tokay (Not to be confused with the famous Hungarian sweet wine Tokaji)
- Muscadelle is not classified among the Muscat family
