  • Aromas and Flavors: almonds, almond paste, peaches, citrus, apples, flowers, grass
  • Known to be extremely aromatic and highly acidic
  • AKA: Alvarinho in Portugal, often used as a component of Vinho Verde.
  • Albariño is the primary grape used to make dry white wine in the Galicia region of Northwestern Spain
  • Considered by many to be Spain’s premier quality white wine
  • Some found in California but Oregon’s Umpqua Valley has had most success
  • Not known to age well, drink young
